We've upgraded the included insurance cover for all our trips!
Think Outside The Classroom was established in 2024 to bring richer educational experiences to students worldwide. We want to provide the opportunity for more students than ever before to access the incredible learning that happens on school trips, through our value for money pricing and careful attention to every detail on each of our specialised tours. We believe our computer science, scuba diving and geography tours are the best in the market, and continuously strive to improve them based on feedback.
We live and breathe school trips and make sure each one of our trip offerings delivers on its promises. Lead by an international educator with over twelve years' experience in classrooms and organising school trips around the world, Think Outside The Classroom knows exactly what students, parents and teachers need when putting together an educational visit. Contact us today to find out how we can organise the perfect school trip for your students.
While Think Outside The Classroom is a UK registered company, our focus is worldwide and we are happy to organise school trips to any of our destinations from your local airport. Our financial protection scheme covers you wherever in the world you happen to be.
All our educational visits have full risk assessments available. We are of course happy to provide additional risk assessments as needed by your school. Additionally, all our trip leaders have police clearance certificates for working with young people, and Think Outside The Classroom Ltd has full public liabilty and professional indemnity insurance cover.
We have partnered with Howden to offer full insurance coverage specially tailored towards school groups for all of our trips, included as standard.

With Travel Trust Association membership (member X0993), any money paid for a school trip goes into a trust account that can only be released after your school trip or to other companies offering equal financial protection. This ensures all money paid is 100% protected until after you return.
If you ask us to arrange flights as part of your school trip, you may also be financially protected by the ATOL scheme (our ATOL licence number is 12668). ATOL protection covers you before and during your trip. When you purchase a trip that is ATOL protected, you will receive an ATOL Certificate. It will show you who and what is covered, as well as provide guidance on what to do if your travel company stops trading as an ATOL holder. ATOL is provided by the UK Civil Aviation Authoity and protects all flight-inclusive bookings made in the United Kingdom. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking.
Your Financial Protection. When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive package from us you will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong.
We, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative). In some cases, where neither we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable).
If we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate, are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit you assign absolutely to those Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or your credit card issuer where applicable). You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned to another body, if that other body has paid sums you have claimed under the ATOL scheme.
