Here's a typical 8 day itinerary, from £1,395
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival on Bali island, Indonesia, transfer to accommodation by bus. Welcome dinner and tour of local area.
Day 2: Flores
Flight to Flores island and transfer to accommodation in Labuan Bajo. Afternoon visit to Batu Cermin (the 'mirror stone cave'). Equipment check at the dive centre. Relax and enjoy freshly barbecued fish and live reggae music at the Night Market.
Day 3-6: Diving
Our daily routine will see us make a full day trip on a large dive boat, with two dives offered in the morning, a tasty buffet lunch cooked by the onboard chef, and an afternoon dive, with night dives possible depending on experience levels and local conditions.
Any new divers will spend their first day in a shallow lagoon practising skills and will be on a different dive boat. It is strongly recommended that the theoretical e-learning is completed before arrival in Indonesia.
The number of diving days is flexible, but 4 days is recommended as being about right for this location. During the surface intervals we will visit islands commanding beatiful views over the National Park, beaches with pink sand and on the final day instead of the afternoon dive we will hike to see the Komodo dragons of Rinca island.
Day 7: Bali
Flight back to Bali island a minimum of 24 hours following the last dive on the previous day. Transfer to accommodation and option of surfing lessons in the afternoon. Many options for souvenir shopping.
Alternatively an extra surface day can be added on Flores, with hikes to remote waterfalls, interesting villages or trips to other islands for snorkeling.
Day 8: Return
Transfer to airport, return flight to home country.
Other activities in Bali can be added time permitting, such as a sunrise volcano hike, a visit to the famous Ulun Danu Beratan temple, Indonesian cooking class or even more diving!
Extra activities can be added on travel days depending on flight timings, and the entire itinerary can be shortened, lengthened or customised to suit your preferences.
Pricing is based on 20 students with 2 free teacher places, staying in twin share or hostel accommodation, following the example 8 day itinerary. This price includes 11 boat dives, full equipment rental and all national park/marine conservation area fees and taxes. SSI courses come at a surcharge. Divers Alert Network specialist insurance can be provided by the dive centre if needed. International flights are extra. Please contact us for an individual quote for the number of teachers and students you wish to attend.
