STEAM School Trips to New York, Boston, and Washington, USA

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival in Boston, transfer to accommodation by private coach.

Day 2: MIT & Innovation

MIT Museum & Physics Workshop: students will explore robotics, AI, engineering prototypes, and interactive exhibits on programming, automation, and mechanical systems. They will take part in a hands-on physics and space workshop at the Museum.

MIT Campus Tour: discover life at one of the world's leading technology universities on a student-led campus tour. Learn about cutting-edge research in robotics, sustainability, bioengineering, and data science while experiencing the atmosphere of one of the USA's most innovative institutions.

Boston Frog Pond: enjoy skating at Boston's iconic Frog Pond, located in the heart of the USA's oldest public park. A fun opportunity to experience a popular local activity while spending time with your classmates (This activity is seasonal).

Day 3: Museum of Science 

Museum of Science Boston: explore more than 700 interactive exhibits focused on nature, chemistry, engineering, and physics. Students will have the chance to engage in hands-on activities that encourage critical thinking, systems thinking, and problem-solving. 

New England Aquarium: Meet green sea turtles, California sea lions, and more! Visit the New England Aquarium to explore marine ecosystems, biodiversity, and conservation efforts while discovering how science and technology help protect our oceans.

Alternative activities: 

• Harvard University Tour: walk through the historic campus of Harvard and learn about student life, academic traditions, and the university's role in STEAM innovations.

• Boston DUCK Tour: travel through Boston by land and water aboard an amphibious vehicle while discovering the city's history, famous landmarks, and waterfront districts from a unique perspective.

Day 4: New York

Journey to NYC: travel to the "Big Apple" and experience one of the world's most exciting and influential cities.

Central Park: explore New York City's most famous urban park, discovering iconic landmarks, scenic pathways, and green spaces in the heart of Manhattan.

National Museum of Mathematics: visit the "palace of all things mathematical"!  Students take part in hands-on challenges and workshops exploring geometry, probability, patterns, and logical reasoning through creative problem-solving activities.

Day 5: Engineering & Slime 

Intrepid Museum: explore one of the world’s most extraordinary collections of aviation and space history. Experience a nuclear-powered submarine, supersonic spy planes, and the world’s fastest commercial airliner. Dive into aviation, engineering, and aerospace innovation through immersive exhibits, with optional flight simulators and interactive experiences.

Beat the Slime Bomb Challenge: step into a team challenge where students solve puzzles, complete missions, and race against time in an immersive, game-like experience. Strengthen collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment designed to bring teamwork to life.

Alternative activities: 

• Top of the Rock Observation Deck:  at Rockefeller Plaza, enjoy spectacular views of Manhattan's skyline, including Central Park, the Empire State Building, and many of New York's most famous landmarks.

Travel to Washington, D.C.: journey to the nation's capital and prepare to explore the political and historical heart of the United States.

Day 6:  Science & History

Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History: discover world-class exhibits on dinosaurs, human evolution, biodiversity, and Earth's ecosystems through one of the world's most visited museums.

U.S.A. Capitol Tour: learn how US democracy functions through a guided visit to the United States Capitol and discover the history of the legislative process.

Washington D.C. Landmarks Tour: visit iconic landmarks including the White House, Lincoln Memorial, and other famous monuments while exploring the history and culture of the U.S. capital.

Day 7: Return

Transfer to the airport by private coach, return flight to home country.

Depending on travel dates, flight schedules, and group preferences, the itinerary can be enhanced with a range of iconic and educational experiences across the United States. From New York landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Broadway, and world-famous observation decks, to Boston’s historic Freedom Trail, and the vibrant waterfront, each destination offers powerful learning opportunities. Students may also experience an NBA or NHL game, explore the American Museum of Natural History, or enjoy cultural discoveries in Chinatown, Quincy Market, and Fifth Avenue shopping. Interactive workshops in theatre, film and media production, including a dynamic stage combat and sword fighting workshop, as well as innovation and entrepreneurship sessions, can further bring learning to life beyond the classroom.
