Arrival on Coron island, Philippines, transfer to accommodation by bus. Welcome dinner and tour of local area. Equipment check at the dive centre depending on arrival time.
Our daily routine will see us make a full day trip on a large dive boat, with two dives offered in the morning, a tasty buffet lunch cooked by the onboard chef, and an afternoon dive, with night dives possible depending on experience levels and local conditions.
Any new divers will spend their first day in a shallow lagoon practising skills and will be on a different dive boat. It is strongly recommended that the theoretical e-learning is completed before arrival in the Philippines.
The number of diving days is flexible, but 3-4 days is recommended as being about right for this location. While we are on the surface we may make a trip to the unique Barracuda lake, naturally 38 degrees and an unusual experience for either diving or snorkelling. We'll also visit beaches and dive with dugongs, an amazing experience.
For existing open water divers, Coron is a great place to complete their advanced open water certification, or take a wreck specialty course to be able to fully appreciate the nine large ships just below the surface and their new marine inhabitants.
Take a ferry to El Nido, Palawan for surface days exploring the lagoons by kayak and by snorkel, or just relaxing on the white sand beaches.
Transfer to airport, return flight to home country.
Extra activities can be added on travel days depending on flight timings, and the entire itinerary can be shortened, lengthened or customised to suit your preferences.
Pricing is based on 20 students with 2 free teacher places, staying in twin share or hostel accommodation, following the example 8 day itinerary. This price includes 11 boat dives, full equipment rental and all national park/marine conservation area fees and taxes. PADI courses and Nitrox come at a surcharge. International flights are extra. Please contact us for an individual quote for the number of teachers and students you wish to attend.
With Travel Trust Association membership (member X0993), any money paid for a school trip goes into a trust account that can only be released after you return from your school trip or to other companies offering equal financial protection. You will have a personal guide to lead your group whilst on your school trip to the Philippines, and a 24 hour emergency contact number. We make sure teachers supporting your trip are comfortable with local SIM cards or other means of staying connected provided, plus extra refreshments throughout each day of the trip. Our trip leader will also brief the teachers each day with full information about the plans, such locations, activities and supervision needed.
